Abbi and Tobias’ Chelsea Town Hall wedding was a lovely celebration of the two of them, surrounded by family and friends. With elegant outfits, a beautiful bouquet full of colour and the character of Chelsea’s streets as a backdrop, it was a day full of moments worth remembering.
My approach to civil wedding photography is relaxed and documentary-led, allowing the day to unfold naturally while capturing the atmosphere, the people and the little interactions in between.
A Chelsea Town Hall Wedding
Chelsea Town Hall makes a distinctive setting for a London civil wedding. Its grand architecture and the surrounding streets offer a backdrop that feels quintessentially London, while keeping the focus on what matters most: the couple and the people who have come together to celebrate with them.
After the ceremony, we made use of the area around the Town Hall for photographs, mixing relaxed portraits with the natural moments happening between them.
Portraits Around Chelsea
Abbi and Tobias looked effortlessly elegant together. Her white tailored outfit and colourful bouquet worked beautifully against the brickwork and greenery of the surrounding streets, while the portraits stayed simple and relaxed.
Rather than overcomplicating things, I wanted the photographs to feel like a reflection of the two of them together — a mixture of considered portraits and moments that happened naturally.
Celebrating with Family and Friends
Some of the most meaningful photographs from a civil wedding happen just outside the ceremony room. The embraces, the laughter and the chance to spend a little time together afterwards often become some of the images couples return to most.
