A Summer Wedding at Chippenham Park
Milly and James celebrated their wedding at Chippenham Park, with their ceremony taking place nearby at St Margaret’s Church before returning to the estate for the reception and evening celebrations.
There was a particularly special connection to Chippenham Park for Milly and her family. Her mum had celebrated her own wedding here 30 years earlier, and for her wedding day, Milly wore her mum’s original wedding dress. Seeing the same dress return to such a meaningful place three decades later made the day feel incredibly personal.
The weather stayed mostly overcast throughout the afternoon, giving us beautifully soft light for photographs around the grounds. Later in the evening, the sun finally appeared, giving Milly and James a completely different atmosphere for a few relaxed portraits before heading back to the celebrations.
I photographed and filmed the day from the final stages of getting ready at Chippenham Park through to the evening, using a mixture of documentary photography, relaxed portraits and drone imagery to capture not only the people, but the setting and atmosphere of the day as a whole.

Chippenham Park is a beautiful setting for a wedding, with the house, gardens and surrounding parkland giving you plenty of variety throughout the day without needing to spend long periods away from your guests.
From a photography perspective, I particularly love having the freedom to work with the changing light and different parts of the estate. On Milly and James’ wedding day, the softer overcast conditions worked beautifully throughout the afternoon before the evening sunshine completely changed the feel of the grounds.
